George at Asda has partnered with food redistribution charity, FareShare on a range of pyjamas for all the family this Christmas season. Available in both adults and kids' sizes with a festive gingerbread print, 10% of every sale is donated directly to the charity.
FareShare redistributes good-to-eat surplus food, that may otherwise go to waste, to their network of nearly 9,500 charities. This food helps over a million people who need it most across the UK. Through its existing charity partnership, Asda has continued to support in delivering long-term positive change and raising vital funds for people living in food poverty in the UK.
Lorraine Harris, Nightwear Buyer at George at Asda “We know the past year has been challenging for local communities as they’ve faced into worrying and uncertain times. We’re really proud to be supporting FareShare with the donation across the new range of pyjamas and help play a part in delivering positive change this Christmas”
Marie Travers, Head of Fundraising at FareShare said: “We’re incredibly grateful for the support from Asda, whose fundraising will make help get more good-to-eat surplus food, that may otherwise go to waste, to people across the UK most impacted by the cost-of-living crisis. For those that can, we hope as many people go to Asda to buy these festive pyjamas, so that we can get more food to people who need it during what are challenging times for many.”
