Ingredients

500g Asda Frozen Pork Steaks

2 rashers Asda Smart Price Bacon, chopped

1 small onion, chopped

2 sticks celery, sliced

1 tsp Asda Dried Mixed Herbs

300ml apple juice

2 tsp cider vinegar

1 tsp Asda Course Grain Mustard

2 tsp cornflour

Mashed potato

Asda Smart Price Frozen Peas, to serve

Method

Pre-heat the oven to 160C/140C Fan/Gas 3. Dry fry the pork steaks in a pan until lightly browned on all sides. Transfer to a casserole dish, leaving the fat in the pan.

Add the bacon, onion and celery to the pan and cook for 5-10 minutes. Add to the pork along with the herbs.

Add the apple juice, vinegar and mustard to the pan and heat until simmering. Pour over the meat, cover and cook in the oven for 40 minutes.

Mix the cornflour with 2 tbsp cold water until smooth, then stir into the meat. Cook for a further 5 minutes. Serve with the mash and peas.
