Ingredients
800g baking potatoes, peeled
1 leek, trimmed and finely sliced
40g butter
325g green cabbage, finely shredded
454g pack Asda Reduced Fat Pork Sausages
1 x 380g carton Asda Baked Beans
Method
1Pre-heat the oven to 200C/180C Fan/Gas 6. Line a baking tray with baking paper. Cut the potatoes into even-sized pieces. Add to a pan of simmering water and cook until tender. Drain, return to the pan and leave to stand over a low heat for a minute to get rid of any excess water, then mash.
2 Meanwhile, fry the leek in 25g butter over a low heat for 8-10 minutes.
3Add the cabbage to a pan of boiling water and simmer for 4-5 minutes. Drain well and pat off any excess water with kitchen paper.
4Mix the mash with the leek (and the cooking juices) and cabbage, and season. Shape into eight cakes and put on a baking tray. Melt the remaining butter and brush over the cakes.
5Grill the sausages until cooked through.
6Heat the beans and serve with the sausages and the bubble and squeak cakes.
