Ingredients

2 tbsp sunflower oil

1 onion, chopped

2 cloves garlic, crushed

2 x 390g cartons Chosen by you Italian Chopped Tomatoes

1 level tbsp mixed dried herbs (or oregano)

5 tbsp tomato ketchup

Cooked pasta, to serve

Grated cheese, to serve

6 fresh basil leaves, torn, to garnish

Method

Heat the oil in a pan and cook the onion on a low heat for 5 minutes, until soft. Add the garlic and cook for a further minute.

Stir in the tomatoes, herbs and ketchup. Season with ground black pepper.

Simmer, uncovered, for 15 - 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Serve with cooked pasta and grated cheese, if using. Garnish with basil, if liked.
