Ingredients

3 tsp Vegetable Oil

2 Gammon Steaks

160g Savoy Cabbage (weighed after removing core and stalk), thinly sliced

250g Asda Jasmine Micro Rice

4 tbsp Mango Chutney

Method

1
Heat 2 tsp of the vegetable oil in a large frying pan over a medium heat. Add the gammon steaks and cook for 5 mins, then flip and cook for a further 5 mins.
2
Meanwhile, heat the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil in a wok over a medium-high heat, then add the cabbage along with 50ml hot water and some salt and black pepper. Stir-fry the cabbage for 4 mins until wilted, then tip in the pack of rice along with another 50ml hot water and stir-fry for a further 3–4 mins until piping hot.
3
To finish the steaks, add 4 tbsp mango chutney and some black pepper to the pan, basting the steaks and shaking the pan, allowing to bubble for 30–60 secs. Remove the steaks to a plate alongside the rice, then add 50ml hot water to the pan and stir to create a quick sauce. Pour over the steaks and serve.
