Ingredients
1 tbsp olive oil
1 medium onion, chopped
15g butter
1 garlic clove, crushed
250g chestnut mushrooms, sliced
454g pack Asda British Cumberland Sausages
400g can Asda Chopped Tomatoes with Herbs
400g can Asda Green Lentils, drained
Mashed potato, to serve
Vegetables, to serve
Method
1Heat the oil in a large pan, then add the onion and cook until soft. Add the butter, garlic and mushrooms, and continue to cook, stirring occasionally, until the mushrooms are cooked through and most of the juices have evaporated. Meanwhile, grill the sausages until they’re cooked and nicely browned.
2Add the chopped tomatoes and lentils to the onion mixture and stir well. Put the sausages on top and simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes.
3Serve with mashed potato and your choice of vegetable.
