Ingredients
400g Asda Organic White Bread Flour
1 level tsp sugar
1 level tsp salt
15g butter, plus extra for greasing
1 sachet Asda Easy Bake Yeast
250ml whole milk, warmed until tepid
375g Asda Extra Special Chipolata Sausages
1 medium egg, beaten
1 tbsp sesame seeds
1 tbsp poppy seeds
Tomato ketchup, to serve
Method
1Line two baking trays with baking paper. Put the flour, sugar and salt in a bowl and rub in the butter. Stir in the yeast and milk and mix to make dough. Knead for 10 minutes on a floured surface, by pushing the dough away from you firmly, then back, and repeating.
2Pre-heat the oven to 220C/200C Fan/Gas 7. Put the dough in a greased bowl, cover with cling film and leave in a warm spot until it doubles in size. Knead for one minute, then divide into 12 pieces and roll out to 38cm-long strips.
3Wind the dough round the sausages. Put on the trays, leaving a gap between them. Cover the trays loosely with cling film and leave in a warm place until the dough is puffy.
4Remove the cling film and brush the dough with the egg. Sprinkle with the seeds. Bake for 20 minutes. Serve with ketchup.
