Ingredients
345g pack Asda Ready to Bake Shortbread Dough
Flour, for rolling out
12 wooden lolly sticks
400g royal icing sugar
1 pot Asda Pink Glimmer
Method
1Pre-heat the oven to 170C/150C Fan/Gas 3. Line two baking trays with baking paper. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to the thickness of a £1 coin.
2Cut out as many stars as possible using the cutter that comes with the shortbread dough pack. Carefully lift onto the baking trays, leaving a small gap between each to allow for spreading. Put a lolly stick under each one so that half of the stick is uncovered and gently press the dough into the stick. As the stars bake, they’ll become attached. Gather the leftover dough and repeat.
3Bake for 15 minutes. Leave to cool on the tray for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to finish cooling.
4Make up the icing as per pack instructions and spread on the stars. Sprinkle with glimmer while the icing is still wet. Leave to set.
