Ingredients
400g pack Asda Fresh Tastes Pineapple Chunks
500g basmati rice
2 tbsp sunflower oil
1 bunch spring onions, trimmed and sliced
2 tbsp Amoy Reduced Salt Soy Sauce
Method
1Cut each pineapple chunk into smaller pieces, roughly thirds, then set aside.
2Rinse the rice in a sieve under cold running water. Put in a large saucepan and add 2 litres of water and a pinch of salt. Bring to the boil, cover the pan and simmer for 10-12 minutes until just tender; drain.
3Meanwhile, heat the oil in a frying pan and gently fry the spring onions for 3 minutes until starting to soften. Add the pineapple and cook until hot.
4Mix the drained rice with the soy sauce, spring onions and pineapple, then serve.
