Ingredients

3 Apples (309g), chopped into cubes

4 Pears (336g), chopped into cubes

250g Just Essentials Porridge Oats

1 liter Semi-skimmed Milk

4 tbsp Just Essentials Honey

250ml Water

Optional sprinkle of Cinnamon

To a large non-stick frying pan, add the pears and apples into the pan, along with a splash of water (I find this helps speed up the cooking). Add half of the honey at this stage too.

Cook over a high heat for around 8 minutes.

Meanwhile, in a separate pan add the essential porridge oats, milk and 250ml of water. Stir and bring to a boil. Reduce to a low heat and cook the porridge stirring occasionally for 2-3 minutes or until thick and creamy.

When the apples/pears start to caramelize, add the remaining honey and continue to cook.

Top a serving of porridge with the stewed pear/apple. Optionally serve with a sprinkle of cinnamon.
