Ingredients
100ml Asda Extra Special Blended Malt Scotch Whisky Bourbon Cask Finish
50ml lemon juice
2 tbsp Asda Cane Sugar Syrup
40ml red wine
2 strips orange or clementine zest
2 cocktail cherries, optional
Method
1Fill 2 tumblers with ice and thread the orange zest and cocktail cherries (if using) onto 2 cocktail sticks, set aside.
2Pour the whisky into a cocktail shaker along with the lemon juice, sugar syrup and a large handful of ice. Shake well then strain into your ice-filled tumblers. for extra wow factor and a smoother finish, you can add an egg white to this drink. Add 1 small egg white (about 2 tbsp) to the cocktail shaker. Shake the cocktail as before, then strain out the ice and return the mixture to the shaker. Shake again to whip up the egg white then strain into your prepared glass
3Then, slowly and carefully divide the red wine between the glasses, try pouring it over the back of a spoon into the glass, by slowly pouring it you’ll see it float on top of the cocktail below giving a dramatic ombré effect.
4Garnish with orange zest and cherry skewers and serve straight away.
