Ingredients
2 x 411g cans Asda Peach Halves in Fruit Juice, drained, reserving 100ml of the juice
1tsp vanilla essence
250g plain flour
1tsp bicarbonate of soda
1 sachet Dr. Oetker Cream of Tartar
40g golden caster sugar
40g butter, cubed
150ml milk
Icing sugar
400g can Ambrosia Light Devon Custard
Method
1Preheat the oven to 220C/200C Fan/Gas 7.
2Put the peaches, juice and vanilla in a medium-sized ovenproof dish.
3Stir the dry ingredients together in a mixing bowl. Rub the butter in until it looks like breadcrumbs. Stir in the milk to form a dough.
4Shape into rounds and place on the peaches. Bake for 25 mins until golden.
5Dust with icing sugar and serve with custard, if using.
