Ingredients

150g Asda Fusilli Pasta

2-pack Asda Sweet and Juicy Sweetcorn

1 tsp Oive Oil

4 Rashers Asda Extra Special Unsmoked Streaky Bacon

1 Asda Sweet & Crisp Romaine Lettuce Hearts, cut into 4 wedges

150g Asda Lighter Mayonnaise

1 Lemon, juiced and zested

3 Spring Onions, sliced

18 Cherry Tomatoes, halved

2 tbsp Basil Leaves

Method

1
Cook the pasta according to pack instructions, adding the sweetcorn cobs for the last 3 mins. Drain and rinse under cold water, set aside.
2
Brush the sweetcorn cobs with the oil and cook on the BBQ over a medium-high heat for 6–8 mins, turning from time to time, until lightly charred.
3
Add the bacon to the grill for the last 3–4 mins, turning, until crisp. Finally, add the lettuce wedges for the last 2 mins, turning to lightly char the cut sides. Place the bacon on kitchen paper and set aside with the lettuce and corn.
4
When the sweetcorn has cooled slightly, use a sharp knife to carefully slice down the sides of the cob to remove the kernels. Slice the charred lettuce and set aside.
5
Mix together the mayo, lemon juice and spring onions. Put the drained pasta in a large bowl with the tomatoes and lettuce and stir in the mayo mix.
6
Season and gently fold in the sweetcorn. Crumble the bacon, basil and lemon zest on top. Finish with a little freshly cracked black pepper.
7
To cook indoors: Cook the pre-boiled sweetcorn in a large non-stick pan or on a pre-heated griddle pan, over a medium heat for 6–8 mins, turning from time to time, adding the bacon for the last 3–4 mins, turning, until crisp. Add the wedges of lettuce for the last 2 mins. Turn to lightly char the cut sides.
