BEFORE YOU BEGIN</h2><p>‘Check the weather! Never just assume that it&rsquo;s going to be sunny or snowy or any of the things you <em>think</em> you know about your destination. Check as close to leaving as possible and then pack appropriately.&rsquo; </p><p> </p><h2>2. ROLL, DON&rsquo;T FOLD</h2><p>‘I roll absolutely everything that goes into my case. Even pants. It saves space, stops clothes creasing as much and keeps things more organised. THE POWER OF PACKING CUBES</h2><p>‘Packing cubes are zip-up pockets used for clothes and they will revolutionise the way you pack. They keep your items organised, compact and easy to slot into a case, Tetris style. It also makes unpacking a breeze because you know where everything is. I&rsquo;ve introduced them to all of my friends and it&rsquo;s changed their lives.&rsquo;</p><p> </p><h2>4. HEAVY THINGS FIRST</h2><p>‘Where possible put heaviest items towards the bottom of your case near the wheels. Things like <a href="https://direct.asda.com/george/women/shoes/D1M1G20C20,default,sc.html" target="_blank">shoes</a>, sun-cream and anything with more weight to them. Your case won&rsquo;t always be stood up but when it is, this will help with the weight distribution.&rsquo; </p><p> </p><h2>5. USE SHOES</h2><p>‘<a href="https://direct.asda.com/george/women/shoes/D1M1G20C20,default,sc.html" target="_blank">Shoes</a> are handy to pack things inside. I normally use the space inside them to pack a <a href="https://direct.asda.com/george/women/tops/D1M1G20C2,default,sc.html" target="_blank">cami top</a> or some <a href="https://direct.asda.com/george/women/all-lingerie/D1M18G1C1,default,sc.html" target="_blank">underwear</a>.&rsquo;</p><p><img alt="shoe-wardrobe__hero" class="ci-image ci-hero" src="https://ui3.assets-asda.com/dm/shoe-wardrobe__hero_GL?scl=1"></p><h2>6. SWADDLE BREAKABLES</h2><p>‘I bought a china bowl on my last holiday. What was I thinking? But whenever I have breakables - or bottles of wine - to pack, I roll them in a <a href="https://direct.asda.com/george/home/beach-towels/D26M07G07C11,default,sc.html" target="_blank">towel</a> or <a href="https://direct.asda.com/george/women/jumpers-cardigans/D1M1G20C5,default,sc.html" target="_blank">jumper</a> which will cushion any blows.&rsquo;</p><h2>7. BE MINDFUL</h2><p>‘Overpacking is easily done so be mindful of what you really need. I challenge myself with the 10x10 Challenge, which is taking 10 items that can be worn as 10 different outfits. It&rsquo;s tricky but good for short trips with just hand luggage.&rsquo;</p><h2>8. NEVER PACK VALUABLES</h2><p>‘I would never pack anything super valuable in my checked case. My husband learnt the hard way when he packed his expensive camera and it was broken by the other end. Luggage handlers aren&rsquo;t always that careful with cases so if you can, always carry laptops, cameras and expensive equipment as hand luggage.&rsquo;</p><p><img alt="packing-a-suitcase__hero" class="ci-image ci-hero" src="https://ui3.assets-asda.com/dm/packing-a-suitcase__hero_GL?scl=1"></p><h2>ANNA&rsquo;S CARRY ON ESSENTIALS</h2><p>These are just some of the things to remember in your hand luggage. </p><p><strong>Swimsuit</strong></p><p>‘If my luggage goes missing, I can still hit the beach&rsquo;</p><p><strong>Spare underwear</strong></p><p>‘Clean undies are the best way to feel fresh after travelling&rsquo; </p><p><strong>Wipes, toothbrush and toothpaste</strong></p><p>‘Freshen up when there&rsquo;s no shower available&rsquo;</p><p><strong>Small pot of moisturiser</strong></p><p>‘Essential, especially when on a flight&rsquo;</p><p><strong>Nasal spray and eye-drops</strong></p><p>‘Keeps airwaves and eyes hydrated on a long journey&rsquo;</p><p><strong>Scarf</strong></p><p>‘Good for sleeping on, keeping warm and creating your own space&rsquo;</p><p><strong>Cosy socks and compression socks</strong></p><p>‘Ant and Dec once saw me peeling off my compression socks &ndash; the glamour!&rsquo;</p><p><strong>Memory foam pillow</strong></p><p>‘Forget the blow-up ones, I&rsquo;d wear this all day everyday if I could!&rsquo;</p><p><strong>Scented rollerball</strong></p><p>‘Don&rsquo;t spray perfume on a flight, bus or train as you never know if other people have allergies&rsquo;</p><p><em>Feeling inspired to pack like a pro?
