The Girl on the Train, Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Alert were all up there

<p>Books are wonderful aren&rsquo;t they? They let our children&rsquo;s imaginations run wild for hours and when it's a particularly good page turner, books allow us to drift off into a peaceful world with no other people or noise.</p><p>From dusty old novels to the latest paperbacks, romantic fiction to thrillers and children&rsquo;s literature, there really is nothing better than getting stuck into a great book. </p><p>But what books are we actually devouring? Well, according to Public Lending Right, we can't get enough of childrens' books!</p><p>But in fact, it was Paula Hawkins' hit novel <a href="https://groceries.asda.com/product/paperback-book-chart/paperback-the-girl-on-the-train-by-paula-hawkins/910002475251" target="_blank"><em>The Girl on the Train</em></a> which was the most-borrowed library book in 2015/2016.</p><p>The hit thriller was borrowed 72,827 times between July 2015 and July 2016 - that&rsquo;s equivalent to around 200 times per day!</p><center><blockquote class="instagram-media" data-instgrm-version="7" style=" background:#FFF;
