Tune into ITV's documentary The Real Full Monty

Did you know the classic film The Full Monty turns twenty this year? How is that even possible? It seems like yesterday that we were watching four former steel workers taking off their clothes to raise money for their best friend Gaz.To help celebrate the film's 20th birthday, celebrities will be helping to raise awareness of men&rsquo;s cancers and baring all for a new ITV documentary, The Real Full Monty.Along with host Alexander Armstrong, seven celebrity strippers will have only six days in total to learn and rehearse their unique take on the famous routine &ndash; performed to You Can Leave Your Hat On - under the watchful eye of choreographer and co-presenter Ashley Banjo, before ultimately performing it in front of an audience of thousands at The London Palladium.Here's a hilarious clip of some famous faces let loose in an <a href="http://www.asda.com/" target="_blank">Asda</a> to rehearse their iconic striptease, disguised as supermarket workers.<iframe src="https://player.vimeo.com/video/220932817" width="853" height="480" frameborder="0" webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen allowfullscreen></iframe>The rehearsal scene, starring McFly drummer Harry Judd, TOWIE star Elliott Wright, ballet dancer Wayne Sleep, former Olympic swimmer Mark Foster, Emmerdale actor Matthew Wolfenden, TV presenter Dom Littlewood, and Red Dwarf actor Danny John Jules, was shot in our Hayes store and totally caught customers by surprise. Were you there?Originally released in the summer of 1997, The Full Monty grossed over £200 million at the box office worldwide on a tiny budget £2.7 million. Here are some other facts you may not know about the film...1. The film was originally going to be called Eggs, Beans, and Chippendales.2. When The Full Monty was released in the US, cinemas had special leaflets printed containing translations to some of the British slang used in the film.3. At the end of the strip performance, Guy throws his shirt into the audience. A few seconds later, he's seen again in the background waving his shirt.4. The final scene featuring the full-frontal strip-tease was filmed in front of 400 extras. 5. Lion director Danny Boyle was offered to direct the film but refused because he didn't think it was interesting enough.6. Late comedian Rik Mayall was considered to play the part of Gaz, which eventually went to Robert Carlyle.7. William Snape, who played little Nathan went on to have acting roles in the likes of Holby City, Emmerdale and Doctors.8. The "Hot Stuff" scene, where the characters dance in the queue at the job centre, was originally going to be cut from the film as is was seen as "too unrealistic".9. In 1998, The Full Monty won an Oscar for Best Original Music Score (Musical or Comedy) and was nominated for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Screenplay.10. The film was shot entirely on location in and around Sheffield, except for a couple of locations in Shirebrook, Derbyshire.The Real Full Monty is on Thursday 15th June at 8.30pm on ITV.
