It's never too early to get excited for the holiday season, but if you want something specific to look forward to then here it is! BBC One has announced a brilliant new TV animated adaption of Roald Dahl's Revolting Rhymes, airing this Christmas.Revolting Rhymes is a collection of reworked fairy tales written by Dahl in 1982. Each witty rhyme re-tells a classic story with playful twists, gruesome details and surprise endings.Oscar-nominated animation studio Magic Light Pictures (who were responsible for previous hits like The Gruffalo and Stick Man) have now animated five of the rhymes for the BBC.The chosen stories are Little Red Riding Hood, Snow-White, Three Little Pigs, Jack and the Beanstalk and Cinderella.<img alt="roald_dahl_book_covers__hero" class="ci-image ci-hero" src="https://ui3.assets-asda.com/dm/roald_dahl_book_covers__hero_GL?scl=1">As if that's not exciting enough, the Christmas special stars a top notch voiceover cast, including Dominic West as the Wolf, David Walliams and Rob Brydon as the ugly sisters, and Tamsin Greig as the babysitter.West says, 'Voicing the Wolf in these wonderful films was a huge amount of fun. The incredible poems written by Roald Dahl have been beautifully brought to life by the production team and I was delighted to take part in the project.
