Whip up these animal-inspired creations for a playful twist on Pancake Day 

Pancakes just got a whole load 'batter'!This Pancake Day we've teamed up with Alix, from <a href="https://mykitchensdrawer.com/" target="_blank">My Kitchen Drawer</a>, who has shared her recipe for these adorable Animal Pancake Faces. From an owl to a cat and a monkey too, which pancake creation will you make?Grab your frying pan and recreate these flippin' fabulous pancakes...<img alt="screenshot_2021-02-10_at_11.10.02__square" class="ci-image ci-square" src="https://ui3.assets-asda.com/dm/screenshot_2021-02-10_at_11.10?scl=1"><h2>Ingredients</h2><ul><li>135g plain flour</li><li>1 tsp baking powder</li><li>½ tsp salt</li><li>2 tbsp caster sugar</li><li>130ml milk</li><li>1 large egg</li><li>2 tbsp melted butter for cooking</li></ul> To decorate:<ul><li>1 banana</li><li>Fresh strawberries</li><li>Blueberries</li><li>Kiwi fruit</li></ul> <h2>Method </h2><ol><li>Sift the flour into a bowl then add the baking powder, salt and caster sugar.</li><li>In a separate bowl, lightly whisk together the milk and egg.</li><li>Pour the milk mixture into the flour mixture and whisk until you have a smooth batter.</li><li>Heat a non-stick frying pan over a medium heat and add a teaspoon of butter. When it&rsquo;s melted, pour in the batter one at a time. Wait until the top of the pancake begins to bubble, then turn it over and cook until both sides are golden brown.</li><li>For the owl and cat faces you will only need one pancake, but for the monkey you will need to create three smaller pancakes for the ears and nose/mouth. Continue until you have used up all your batter and serve decorated with a drizzle of honey.</li></ol> For the owl<ol><li>Use two slices of banana and two blueberries for the eyes.</li><li>Slice the kiwi fruit and lay out three slices at the bottom to resemble the owl feathers.</li><li>Slice a strawberry and place two pieces either side as the wings, then cut the tip off a slice of strawberry for the nose.</li></ol> For the Cat<ol><li>Use two slices of banana and two blueberries for the eyes and another two slices of</li><li>banana for the cheeks and a blueberry for the nose.</li><li>Slice a strawberry and place two pieces at the top to resemble the ears then cut the tip off a slice of strawberry for the cat tongue.</li><li>Slice a piece of banana and lay out on top of the cheeks as the whiskers.</li></ol> For the Monkey<ol><li>Use two slices of banana and two blueberries for the eyes.</li><li>Lay two smaller pancakes on either side as the monkey ears and the final smaller pancake below the eyes.</li><li>Finally lay on two chocolate chips as the monkey nostrils.</li></ol> Feeling inspired to whip up these Animal Pancake Faces?
