Singing scones, talking tarts and chanting croissants star in the new clip

Singing <a href="https://groceries.asda.com/product/scones/asda-extra-special-all-butter-clotted-cream-scones/910003077506" target="_blank">scones</a>, talking <a href="https://groceries.asda.com/product/jam-tarts-pies-bakewells/asda-bakers-selection-assorted-jam-tarts/910003070217" target="_blank">tarts</a> and chanting <a href="https://groceries.asda.com/product/croissants-pain-au-chocolat/asda-all-butter-croissants/910001519758" target="_blank">croissants</a> all star in Channel 4's long-awaited and much-anticipated trailer for the Great British Bake Off. The short clip was posted on social media and sees a range of animated food and ingredients - like a mountain of <a href="https://groceries.asda.com/product/flour/asda-smartprice-white-plain-flour/25473" target="_blank">flour</a>, a stack of <a href="https://groceries.asda.com/product/white-bread/asda-extra-special-farmhouse-white-bread/910003041519" target="_blank">bread</a> and a tower of <a href="https://groceries.asda.com/product/ice-cream-party-desserts/asda-profiteroles-with-chocolate-sauce/77255172" target="_blank">profiteroles</a> - making their way up a showstopper cake and to the bunting-lined Bake Off Tent, whilst singing and dancing to Paul McCartney's song, We All Stand Together. The advert then closes with a voiceover saying, through a mouthful of cake, 'Set your timers. The Great British Bake Off is back, coming soon on Channel 4.'<center><blockquote class="twitter-video" data-lang="en">The Great British Bake Off Coming soon, on Channel 4<a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/GBBO?src=hash">#GBBO</a> <a href="https://t.co/NVoGHCcN0A">pic.twitter.com/NVoGHCcN0A</a>&mdash; Channel 4 (@Channel4) <a href="https://twitter.com/Channel4/status/893063667373096960">August 3, 2017</a></blockquote><script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script></center>The trailer comes months after keen cooks, cake-lovers and Mary Berry enthusiasts were left in a state of bake-less bother after the future of the Great British Bake Off, as we once knew and loved, changed forever. In September last year Great British Bake Off creators Love Production announced that they would be moving the show to Channel 4, with a reported £75 million three-year deal. And soon after, presenters Mel Perkins and Mel Giedroyc were quick to denounce the move with <a href="https://www.asda.com/good-living/article/mary-berry-paul-hollywood-great-british-bake-off" target="_blank">Mary later confirming</a> that she would also be putting down her judging fork once and for all, despite Paul Hollywood staying put.<img alt="gbbo__square" class="ci-image ci-square" src="https://ui3.assets-asda.com/dm/gbbo__square_GL?scl=1"><a href="https://www.asda.com/good-living/article/paul-hollywood" target="_blank">Joining Paul</a> in the judging seat is restaurateur, presenter, and cookery writer Prue Leith, while comedian, writer, actor, presenter and producer, Sandi Toksvig and comedian, musician, writer and actor Noel Fielding will be filling the boots of Mel and Sue. Channel 4 Chief Creative Officer Jay Hunt said: “The Great British Bake Off will have a uniquely Channel 4 take when it airs this autumn. Paul and Prue have huge amounts of expertise and warmth. I&rsquo;m looking forward to seeing them putting our great new bunch of amateur bakers through their paces. Sandi and Noel bring a fresh wit and quirkiness to the tent.
