This time of year can be wet, cold and miserable. The celebration of new beginnings that comes with New Year are long gone and we&rsquo;re all quite often back to our old ways despite trying!Well, until around Pancake Day when we are given yet another opportunity to better ourselves thanks to Lent.I actually rather enjoy this bleak and grey time of year. Not least because it&rsquo;s my birthday at the end of January but also because I love wrapping up warm and the cosy feeling that partners it. Still, how to keep two little ones happy without them eventually getting serious cabin fever?It&rsquo;s my first year of having a very active toddler (Buzz) and an almost-one-year-old (Buddy). In an ideal world, this is how I plan on spending the next few months…First things first, we&rsquo;ll still be going for our walks and ensuring that we get a daily dose of fresh air.<img alt="giovanna_1" class="ci-image ci-original" src="https://ui3.assets-asda.com/dm/giovanna_1_GL?scl=1" style="height: 600px; width: 600px;">Buddy will be nicely wrapped up in his buggy so all I&rsquo;ll have to worry about is his nose getting cold. Seeing as Buzz loves a good run around to expend all that energy, he&rsquo;ll be fine. Plus he&rsquo;ll be highly entertained by the frosty leaves and puddles that have solidified to ice.I&rsquo;ll take the boys out for these leisurely strolls first thing in the morning when it&rsquo;s more peaceful. Then, we&rsquo;ll head home for an early lunch, nap (the boys, not me unfortunately!) before some fun in the afternoon.If Tom and I are on top of the parenting malarkey we&rsquo;ll plan some sort of arts and crafts activity for them both to enjoy taking inspiration from the many Pinterest or Instagram mums I follow.<img alt="giovanna_fletcher_and_her_family" class="ci-image ci-original" src="https://ui3.assets-asda.com/dm/giovanna_fletcher_and_her_family_GL?scl=1" style="height: 450px; width: 600px;">Or maybe we&rsquo;ll have some snuggle time on the sofa with a Disney classic, munching on homemade popcorn, all four of us cuddled under a single blanket.Obviously, this is all a mere daydream. The hopes of a toddler tantrum and baby meltdown free day? I&rsquo;ve heard such days actually exist &ndash; but I think it&rsquo;s pure myth!
