Under the Made in Green scheme, you can discover full product traceability of one of our garments

These products come with a traceable label that has a QR code on it which allows you to view part of the journey your product has been on before it gets to a store or George.com. This year, 50% of our womens denim offering will be sourced through the MADE IN GREEN scheme. MADE IN GREEN was created by OEKO-TEX - a worldwide association of independent institutes for product safety and sustainable production in the textile industry - the scheme provides full product traceability through a business product and supply chain. Through the scheme, you are able to find out exactly what factory made your item of clothing and it also ensures that the product is free from harmful levels of more than 300 substances. <img alt="stack_of_denim___square" class="ci-image ci-square" src="https://ui3.assets-asda.com/dm/stack_of_denim___square_GL?scl=1">It also guarantees that the item has been manufactured using sustainable processes under environmentally friendly and socially responsible working conditions - which is great news for your wardrobe and the planet!At present, the denim jeans below have been verified through this scheme. This number will be increasing this year. We spoke to our womenswear design team here at George and they told us 'We are committed to transparency and talking to our customers about this. Each item labelled with a MADE IN GREEN tag can be traced using a unique product code of QR code, which is printed on the swing ticket. Simply scan the code by using your smartphone and let the technology take you on the production journey of your purchases.
