From our dairy-free cheddar to our Frieda the Caterpillar Cake, the judges loved our Free From range!

You could say we&rsquo;re feeling pretty ecstatic right now, as 19 of our tasty ‘Free From&rsquo; products won awards last night at the <a href="http://www.freefromfoodawards.co.uk/index.html" target="_blank">FreeFrom Food Awards 2018</a>.The FreeFroom Food Awards celebrate excellence in the ‘free from&rsquo; food industry and champion great products available in the UK. All of the products entered into the awards must be free from at least least one of the main major food allergens, such as wheat/gluten, dairy, eggs, nuts, soya and sulphites.Of the 19 yummy Asda products that caught the judges' attention, four brought home gold, seven won silver and another eight won bronze.On Tuesday night, the judges just couldn't seem to resist our sweet treats, with our dairy, gluten and egg-free<a href="https://groceries.asda.com/product/cakes-sweet-treats/asda-free-from-5-raspberry-coconut-flapjack-slices/910002962606" target="_blank"> Raspberry and Coconut Flapjack Slices</a> and our <a href="https://groceries.asda.com/product/cakes-sweet-treats/asda-free-from-8-cranberry-orange-oaty-cookies/910002962837" target="_blank">Cranberry and Orange Oaty Cookies</a> winning silver and bronze in the "Tea Time!" category respectively.Our ultra-creamy gluten and dairy-free <a href="https://groceries.asda.com/product/chocolate-caramel-pots/asda-free-from-italian-coffee-desserts/1000006246061" target="_blank">Italian Coffee Desserts</a> also caught the judges' attention, and won silver in the "Desserts and Puddings" category.<img alt="sweets-3" class="ci-image ci-original" src="https://ui3.assets-asda.com/dm/sweets-3_GL?scl=1">As well as our tea time desserts, buns and slices, the judges also loved our free-from chocolate range, including some of our seasonal chocolate products, and our kid-friendly <a href="https://groceries.asda.com/product/cakes-sweet-treats/asda-free-from-frieda-the-caterpillar-cake/1000011829945" target="_blank">Free From Frieda the Caterpillar Cake</a>, who is completely gluten and dairy-free, won bronze in the "Children's Food" category, too. Well done Frieda!<img alt="frieda_caterpillar_cake__square" class="ci-image ci-square" src="https://ui3.assets-asda.com/dm/frieda_caterpillar_cake__square_GL?scl=1">But it was in the "Best Breads" category where we really excelled.While gluten-free bread is a hard skill to master, the judges really loved our gluten-free <a href="https://groceries.asda.com/product/bread-rolls/asda-free-from-4-seeded-brown-rolls/1000017270115" target="_blank">4 Seeded Brown Rolls</a>, which won gold! One judge described them as having a "good nutty aroma and excellent structure."But that wasn't all. Oh no. Our gluten-free <a href="https://groceries.asda.com/product/bread-rolls/asda-free-from-garlic-coriander-naans/1000005035607" target="_blank">Garlic and Coriander Naans</a> brought home silver in the category, as did our dairy and gluten-free <a href="https://groceries.asda.com/product/bread-rolls/asda-free-from-seeded-white-sliced-loaf/1000017270142" target="_blank">Seeded White Sliced Bread Loaf,</a> while our dairy and gluten-free <a href="https://groceries.asda.com/product/bread-rolls/asda-free-from-white-sliced-loaf/1000017271054" target="_blank">White Sliced Bread Loaf</a> brought home bronze. In fact, Asda made up an impressive four of the top six prizes in this category!<img alt="bread_collage" class="ci-image ci-original" src="https://ui3.assets-asda.com/dm/bread_collage_GL?scl=1">We also picked up huge awards in the "Milk Alternatives" and "Meaty and Fishy Ready Meals" categories. Both our dairy-free <a href="https://groceries.asda.com/product/vegan-cheese-alternative/asda-free-from-mature-cheddar-alternative/1000021353889" target="_blank">Mature Cheddar Alternative</a> and our <a href="https://groceries.asda.com/product/extra-special-bacon-sausages/asda-extra-special-6-pork-caramelised-red-onion-sausages/910001308855" target="_blank">Extra Special 6 Pork & Caramelised Red Onion Sausages</a>, which are gluten-free, blew away the competition in their respective categories to win first place.<img alt="meat_and_cheese" class="ci-image ci-original" src="https://ui3.assets-asda.com/dm/meat_and_cheese_GL?scl=1">In fact, our wide range of ready meals did well overall, with <a href="https://groceries.asda.com/product/pasta-rice-noodles/asda-free-from-chow-mein-rice-noodle-pot/910003184627" target="_blank">our Chow Mein Noodle Pot</a>, <a href="https://groceries.asda.com/product/pasta-rice-noodles/asda-free-from-singapore-curry-rice-noodle-pot/910003185685" target="_blank">our Singapore Curry Noodle Pot</a> and our gluten-free <a href="https://groceries.asda.com/product/frozen/asda-free-from-beef-lasagne/910002332638" target="_blank">Beef Lasagne</a> bringing home bronze across the "Meaty and Fishy Ready Meals", "Veggie Ready Meals" and "Food to Go" categories.
