Here's how the Memphis world BBQ championships inspired our new range 

Americans really are very serious about BBQ.Which is why the team at Asda flew to the USA for the World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest in Memphis, as they were keen to learn as much as they could about the secrets behind the mouthwatering flavours of the Southern States.What made smoky Texan sauce, or hickory-smoked Alabama ribs so tasty? By taking part in the competition themselves, they learnt so much just from sampling other competitors&rsquo; recipes and seeing their techniques. Mark Richmond, innovations development chef said: "Memphis is known for its dry-rub ribs; the Carolinas for shoulders, hogs and vinegar. Ultimately, though, it&rsquo;s all about simplicity &ndash; and the smoke is king.
