And while fans of the Fifty Shades of Grey series are eagerly awaiting the <a href="https://www.asda.com/good-living/article/50-shades-darker-teaser">new film trailer</a>, author EL James has given readers something else to look forward to! Today, on fictional character Anastasia Steele's 27th birthday, EL James took to Facebook to reveal an excerpt from her new book, tentatively titled ‘Fifty Shades Darker from Christian&rsquo;s Point of View.&rsquo;The author shared two pages of the highly-anticipated novel on <a href="https://www.facebook.com/ELJamesAuthor/" target="_blank">her Facebook page</a>, with the note:"Good morning, all I know you're anxiously awaiting the trailer, and that's happening... soon. In the meantime, in honour of Ana's birthday, there's this"See the Fifty Shades Darker from Christian&rsquo;s point of view book excerpt <a href="http://www.facebook.com/ELJamesAuthor/" target="_blank">here</a>. <img alt="copy-of-fifty-shades-of-grey-book__hero" class="ci-image ci-hero" src="https://ui3.assets-asda.com/dm/copy-of-fifty-shades-of-grey-book__hero_GL?scl=1">The excerpt is of the first two pages of the new novel that's told from Christian's POV and is dated Thursday 9th June, 2011 &ndash; just a few days after the end of the first instalment of the trilogy, Fifty Shades of Grey. It's Ana&rsquo;s first day at work at Seattle Independent Publishing, and she's been utterly miserable since she ended things with Christian. The new book picks up with Christian anxiously waiting outside for Ana to leave work, before driving her up to her friend's art show in Portland. Readers will remember that Ana was feeling nervous about the meeting but as this new excerpt shows, she wasn't the only one! So when can we expect to read the rest of the gripping love saga from Christian's perspective? The author added on her Facebook page that the new Fifty Shades Darker should be coming out in 2017, 'hopefully'.  Fingers crossed that she means early 2017!But that's not the only thing that Grey fans have to look forward to. Those who are eagerly anticipating the Fifty Shades Darker film will have to wait until 10th February, 2017.
