To celebrate the Chinese year of the Rooster 

<p>According to the Chinese calendar, 2017 is the year of the rooster. Each Chinese New Year is characterised by one of 12 animals which appear in the Chinese zodiac (rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, sheep, monkey, rooster, dog and pig). The Chinese zodiac is divided into 12 categories just like our zodiac calendar (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius, Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn, Gemini, Libra, Aquarius, Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces), but with the major difference being that each zodiac sign has a time-length of one year instead of one month. </p><p>This year it's the Year of the Rooster, the tenth animal in the cycle &ndash; the next Year of the Rooster will be in 2029.</p><p>Chinese New Year, also known as the Spring Festival, is marked by the lunisolar Chinese calendar, so the date changes from year to year &ndash; this year it will fall on Saturday 28th January.</p><p>The celebrations usually start the day before the New Year and continue for 15 days until the Lantern Festival.   </p><p><a data-pin-do="embedPin" data-pin-width="large" data-pin-terse="true" href="https://uk.pinterest.com/pin/315674255108611899/"></a></p><p>In Chinese culture, the Rooster represents fidelity and punctuality, as it wakes people up on time. People born in the year of the Rooster are kind-hearted, hard-working, independent, honest, plain-speaking, efficient, devoted, steadfast and loyal. They also like to keep their homes neat and organised, and their active, talkative and engaging ways make them popular with people. They are happiest when they are in company, enjoying the spotlight. On the other hand, they may also be arrogant, blunt, critical, uncompromising, persuasive and wild, as well as admiring things or persons blindly.</p><p>A few famous Roosters include Michelle Pfeiffer, Michael Jackson, Goldie Hawn, Michael Caine, Joan Collins, the Duke of Edinburgh, Dawn French, Dolly Parton, Roger Federer, Serena Williams, Beyoncé, Eric Clapton and Yoko Ono.</p><p>To celebrate the year of the Rooster, here are a few actual (famous) roosters!</p><script async defer src="//assets.pinterest.com/js/pinit.js"></script><h2>1.
