Take a load off with these easy chocolate cocktails that taste just like Easter – because you deserve it!

It's safe to say that we all deserve a cocktail – particularly as Easter is approaching and we officially have some days off from homeschooling, working from home, or whatever it is you are busy doing indoors.

So just in time for Easter weekend, here are three chocolate gin cocktails so everyone can clink their glasses together.

    Chocolate and mint martini

Is there anything better than a martini to lift your mood? We think not! But what about a chocolate-flavoured martini? Now that's a masterpiece. This Chocolate and Mint Martini is an indulgent treat that's sure to warm your insides.

    You'll need:

    1 tsp cocoa powder
    100ml whole milk
2 sprigs mint, plus extra to garnish
50ml Asda ES Easter Egg Gin Liqueur
    25ml vanilla vodka
20g Asda ES Dark Chocolate Mint Indulgence, shaved
    Ice

    Method:

    1. Mix the cocoa powder to a paste with some of the milk in a cocktail shaker. Add a handful of ice, the rest of the milk, the mint, Easter egg liqueur and vodka.

    2. Shake for 1min until chilled. Strain into martini glass, garnish with sprigs of mint and a sprinkle of dark chocolate shavings before serving.

Chocolate and orange are a match made in heaven, but add a little chilli and you've kicked the combo up a notch! This cocktail's for those who love interesting flavours, and don't mind a bit of spice. Sip away while enjoying your Easter celebrations at home.

    You'll need:

50ml Baileys Irish Cream Orange Truffle
50ml Asda ES Chocolate Gin Liqueur
    100ml whole milk
    1/8 tsp smoked paprika
Pinch crushed chilli flakes, to garnish
1 orange, zest cut into wide strips
    Ice

    Method:

    1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add the Baileys, Easter egg gin liqueur and smoked paprika. Shake for 1min until chilled then stir in the whole milk.

    2. Strain into martini glasses, top with a pinch of chilli flakes and a twist of orange zest on the rim of the glass.
