He is the official illustrator of World Book Day 2020 and has some excellent tips to get kids reading:<ul><li>Make time to read: ‘Set aside a regular slot in your day for reading with your children &ndash; bedtime is perfect. All of us have very busy lives, but if you can manage to grab half an hour of quiet, one-to-one time, it will soon become a favourite part of the day for both of you.&rsquo;</li><li>Let your child choose what book you read: ‘We don&rsquo;t want children to read because they have to but because they want to. It&rsquo;s proven that children who read for pleasure alone are far more likely to achieve more with their lives, so encourage them to read books about the things they love.&rsquo;</li><li>Make it fun: ‘Do the voices, make up songs or ask questions about topics that arise from the story. The more fun children have when you&rsquo;re reading with them, the more likely it is that they will want to do it again.&rsquo;</li></ul><h2>Must-Have costumes</h2>Getting dressed up is a key part of World Book Day, giving your little ones the chance to transform into their favourite characters.
