We’re celebrating our LGBTQ+ customers and colleagues!

<p>Tuesday June 1st marks Pride Month and we’re celebrating our LGBTQ+ customers and colleagues! This is an opportunity to celebrate the progress that’s been made in LGBTQ+ rights as well as raise awareness of the discrimination, bullying and harassment that LGBTQ+ individuals can still face today. Pride month also gives us an opportunity to celebrate our communities and remember those before them, to learn about LGBTQ+ culture and celebrate diversity through the month of Pride and beyond!</p>
<p>For more than 40 years the rainbow flag has been recognised as a symbol for the LGBTQ+ community. In recent years, colours have been added to include people of colour and the trans flag – it’s all part of a drive to be more inclusive and to recognise all parts of the community. Pride is a time for us to reflect on the progress we’ve made and to acknowledge we still have so much more to do.</p>

<p>This year as part of our ongoing support to the community, we’re proud to make a donation from the sale of our George Pride ranges to <a target='_blank'target='_blank'target="_blank" href="https://www.asda.com/good-living/article/george-partners-with-role-models-for-pride">Diversity Role Models (DRM)</a>, a charity that teaches inclusion and empathy to the next generation.</p>

<p>This year we’ve donated £100,000, which will deliver workshops in 250 schools in the upcoming academic year and will reach 5,000 students digitally.
