Jazz up the humble Yorkshire with these deliciously sweet alternatives to celebrate Yorkshire Day 

<p>Happy Yorkshire Day! We all know and love the humble <a href="https://groceries.asda.com/product/whole-chickens/asda-6-yorkshire-puddings/910002686946" target="_blank">Yorkshire pudding</a>; for its regular appearance on our Sunday lunch plate, beside roast beef and proper horseradish. Now, we have taken our fave side order and made it the hero of the dinner plate with 3 drool-worthy desserts. Who knew the Yorkshire pudding could be so superbly sweet? Get yourself ready for a sugary explosion of flavours, piled high atop a doughy blanket of baked batter goodness. You can thank us later.</p><h2>Apple blackberry crumble Yorkshire pudding</h2><p>Two British classics, tied into one tasty morsel! If you love a classic crumble then you will adore this doughy delight. Slice and cook your apples, add your crumble and whip up your custard. Done!</p><h2>HOW TO</h2><p>1) Preheat the oven to 200C/180C Fan/Gas 6​</p><p>2) Put chopped apples, blackberries, cinnamon and caster sugar with 1 tbsp water into a saucepan. Cook over medium heat for 4-5mins until beginning to break down stirring regularly. Take off the heat and set aside to cool slightly.​</p><p>3) Put the Yorkshires on to a baking tray and bake for 3-4mins, until crisp and heated through.  ​</p><p>4) Heat your custard in the microwave according to pack instructions.​</p><p>5) To assemble the puddings, spoon some of the custard into the bottom of each Yorkshire and top with the fruit filling. Sprinkle over some granola crumble if you have it, for extra crunch and drizzle with the toffee sauce right before serving.​</p><p style="text-align: center;"><img alt="yorkshire___square" class="ci-image ci-square" src="https://ui3.assets-asda.com/dm/yorkshire___square_GL?scl=1"></p><p style="text-align: center;"> </p><h2>Peaches and cream Yorkshire pudding </h2><p>This is the ultimate summer treat! Perfectly ripe peaches, cream or yogurt is an absolute match made in heaven. Slice your peaches, give them a grill and pile on top with your cream or yogurt. Yum!</p><h2>HOW TO</h2><p>1) Preheat the oven to 200C/180C Fan/Gas 6. Put the Yorkshires onto a baking tray.​</p><p>2) Bake for 3-4mins until crisp and sticky.​</p><p>3) Heat a griddle pan over high heat. Pat the slices of peach dry with kitchen roll.​</p><p>4) Using tongs, arrange the sliced peaches across the bars of the griddle pan so that they&rsquo;ll get nice lined markings. Cook for 1-2mins on each side.</p><p>5) To assemble the puddings, divide the clotted cream or yogurt (for a lighter option) between the your Yorkshires and top with some of the sliced peaches. Dip your baked Yorkshire pudding in cinnamon and sugar for even more indulgence.</p><h2>HOW TO</h2><p>1) Preheat the oven to 200C/180C Fan/Gas 6​</p><p>2) Put the caster sugar and cinnamon in a large bowl and stir to combine. Toss each Yorkshire in the cinnamon sugar until lightly coated and put onto a baking tray. Cook in the oven for 4-5mins, until crisp.​</p><p>3) For each sundae, put one of the Yorkshires into a bowl and fill with a scoop of ice cream. Drizzle over some chocolate sauce and sprinkle with chopped nuts.
