Biscuit Monsters

These choccy horror cookie sandwiches look as good as they taste!

What you'll need
• Asda Cookies & Cream Biscuits
• Orange Frosting
• Monster Sprinkles
• Galaxy Sprinkles
• Cake Decor Edible Eyes

Method
First, separate the biscuits into halves; scrape out the filling and sandwich the rounds together with a blob of frosting. Roll the edges of each filled biscuit in both types of sprinkles. Finish each monster with two edible eyes.

Frankencakes

Ready-to-use cake mix and frosting make these monster treats so easy to whip up.

What you'll need
• Chocolate Flavoured Cupcake Mix
• Dr. Oetker Green Food Colour Gel
• Vanilla Flavour Frosting
• Chocolate Sprinkles
• Cake Decor Edible Eyes
• Coloured Writing Icing
• Cadbury Fingers

Method
Simply spoon the cake mix into 15 cupcake cases and bake according to the pack instructions, then allow to cool. Stir a few drops of food colouring into the tub of frosting until you get an even bright-green colour. Dollop frosting on each cake and shape into the flat head of Frankenstein’s Monster with a blunt knife. Next, scatter sprinkles onto a small plate then dip the top of each to form the monster’s ‘hair’. For each cake, add edible eyes and black icing to create a face. Finally, push ½ a Cadbury Finger into the frosting on each side for neck-bolts.

Donut Spiders

Look who's crawling towards your mouth on pretzel legs... Good thing they're deliciously chocolatey.

What you'll need
• Mini Donuts
• Flipz Chocolate Covered Pretzels
• Chocolate Frosting
• Cake Decor Edible Eyes

Method
Start by arranging the donuts on a serving platter and spread chocolate frosting over the top of each. Then use a sharp knife to cut and trim the pretzels into curved leg shapes – you'll need 8 for each donut. Press 4 legs into the top of the donut either side. Finally, stick your edible eyes on each donut.

Chocolate Bat Cakes

Sink your teeth into these fang-tastic frosted 'bad' fairy cakes with spooky biscuit wings.

What you'll need
• Chocolate Frosting
• Fairy Cakes
• Asda Cookies & Cream Biscuits
• Jelly Sweets
• Cake Deco r Edible Eyes
• Fangs
• Red-Coloured Jam

Method
Begin by spreading a little of the frosting over the top of each fairy cakes. Separate the cookies into halves until you have one round for each cake and scrape out the cream filling. Carefully cut each biscuit into two equal semicircles. Top each of the cupcakes with two semicircles (overlapping the edges like wings), two jelly sweet halves for ears, two eyes and two fangs. Last but not least dab a little red jam on the fangs for the blood before serving.

Monster Mash Popcorn

Introducing monster mash popcorn. Otherwise known as gruesomely green and gooey nibbles scattered with mini mallows and scary Halloween sweets.

What you'll need
• Mini Mallows
• Dr. Oetk er Green Food Colour Gel
• Sweet & Salty Popcorn
• Cake Decor Edible Eyes
• Gummy Teeth

Method
Start with putting a handful of the mini mallows into a large microwave-safe bowl with a knob of unsalted butter. Microwave for 30 secs at a time until totally melted. Drizzle over a few drops of the food colouring and mix to a uniform slime-green shade. Add some popcorn then stir quickly to coat before the marshmallow sets. Finally, scatter over some edible eyes, tooth sweets and more mini mallows then allow to set for 5 minutes before serving.

Ghostly brownie bites

These grisly ghouls are a winning combination of marshmallows and mini chocolate brownies.

What you'll need
• Asda White Piping Icing
• White Marshmellows
• Mini Brownies
• Black Writing Icing

Method
To make these, start by drawing a face on the marshmallows using the black writing icing, you can draw skulls like pictured above, or just pipe some big eyes for a ghost alternative. Then use a dot of the piping icing to stick a mallow on top of each brownie. Finally, surround the base of each mallow with more white icing so it flows down the sides of the brownie.

Rice Kreepies Bars

They're sort of crunchy, kind of chewy and a bit colourful – too bad they won't stop staring at you!

What you'll need
• Marshmallow Rice Krispies Squares bars
• White Chocolate
• Unsalted Butter
• Dr Oetker Food Colour Gel
• Cake Decor Edible Eyes

Method
To make these frightfully fun bars put some Krispies on a tray lined with baking paper. Then pop a bar of white chocolate with a knob of butter in the microwave for 30 seconds at a time, stirring in between until completely melted and smooth. Divide the mixture between a few bowls and add a drop of food colouring of your choice to each one, stirring until you get a uniform shade. Use a spoon to coat the top half of each Rice Krispies Square with the various colours of the chocolate. Add the edible eyes to make different monster designs, pushing the eyes into the chocolate while it's still melted. Allow to set for 5 minutes, then transfer to a serving plate.

Black Cat Doughnuts

Do-nut be a scaredy-cat! These black iced donut treats are so easy to decorate.

What you'll need
• Black Icing
• Asda Ring Donuts
• White Writing Icing
• Pink Sprinkles
• Cake Decor E dible Eyes

Method
Chop the icing into small pieces, reserving a small amount, and put the rest into a microwave-safe bowl with a splash of water. Heat in the microwave, stirring every 20 secs until melted and smooth. Take a selection of the donuts and dip half of each one into the black glaze. Put on a wire rack over a baking tray to set. Next, draw whiskers onto each one using the writing icing. Attach a pink sprinkle for the nose and two edible eyes. Finally, roll the reserved black icing into ears and stick in place with writing icing.

Mozzarella and Olive Eyeballs

Look no further for some eery eye-catching bites...

What you'll need
• Straw
• Pitted Green Olives
• Pitted Black Olives
• Mini Mozzarella Balls

Method
Cut pitted green olives in half. Use the end of a drinking straw to cut circles out of black olives, then put in the holes of the green olives to create pupils. Arrange the olive halves on top of mini mozzarella balls to complete this spooky look.

Stuffed Mummy Peppers

How boo-tiful and scary do these peppers look?

What you'll need
• Baby Peppers
• Soft Cheese
• Ready Roll Puff Pastry
• Ketchup
• Piping Bag

Method
To make them, preheat the oven to 200C/ 180C Fan/ Gas 6. Halve and deseed some baby peppers. Fill with soft cheese, wrap in thin strips of puff pastry and bake until golden. Pipe on soft cheese eyes and dot with ketchup. Serve hot or cold.

Frogspawn Crush

Tempting and tasty, this frogspawn crush can be enjoyed by big kids and little 'uns too!

What you'll need
For the Frogspawn
• Kiwi Fruits
• Ice
• Tropical Crush Zero
For the Ghost Cups
• Ice
• Vanilla Yogurt
• Milk

Method
Simply peel and chop a few kiwi fruits and put in to a jug. Using the back of a spoon, gently mash the fruit to break it up. Add ice and top up with chilled tropical crush zero.

For the ghost cups, blend a handful of ice, a good dollop of vanilla yogurt and a splash of milk until smooth.

Slithering Snake and Extra Pear-Estrials

These serpentine fruity fiends are impressive, yet so simple to make.

What you'll need
• Strawberries
• Bananas
• Chocolate Drops
• Pears
• Liquorice or some Ready-to-Roll Black Icing
• Skewers (optional)

Method
Thread slices of strawberry and banana onto a skewer, or carefully balance them next to each other for a curved snake. Finish with a whole strawberry for the head, chocolate drop eyes and a banana forked tongue.

For the extra pear-estrials, cut pears in half vertically and remove the stalks. Roll out a piece of soft liquorice or some ready-to-roll black icing and cut out pointed eyes, little diamond-shaped noses and short, thin mouths. Position on the pear halves to create alien faces.

Mallow-een Skull Pops

Little ones will love making these.

What you'll need
• Marshmallows
• Black Pip ing Icing
• Coloured Writing Icing
• Cake-Pop Stick

Method
Take some white marshmallows and push a cake-pop stick into the bottom of each. Use black piping icing or writing icing to draw eyes and a stitched mouth onto each marshmallow.

For extra wow-factor, pipe Day of the Dead skull-style flowers and swirls on your cake pops, using brightly coloured icing!
